Qualifications B.Tech (Chemical/mechanical/electrical from a premier engineering college)

Responsibilities

• Run existing just in time robotic manufacturing operations for making 30,000 spectacles a day
• Run and operate the world’s best and fully automated centralized optical frame + just in time lens manufacturing & edging factory at a new green field location spread over 500,000 sqft
• Use technology and automation to consistently ship customer orders in time with best quality and reliability
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering 0 PPM and next day delivery to customers across India and abroad
• Optimize efficiency and efficacy of operations to deliver better margins for business
• Deliver consistency in operations and reliability of 99.8%
• Make Lenskart the most reliable brand in India and abroad by delivering a Net Promoter score of 80+
• Prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
• Maintain global standards in safety, discipline, hygiene and quality
• Contribute to overall business strategy and expansion process

Experience

• 8 to 12 years of experience with 2 to 4 years of experience in a factory (Factory engineer or a Manufacturing/ Production Manager)
• Experience in Manufacturing Excellence is a must
• Strong strategic and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing role
• Passionate about technology and manufacturing
• Ability to understand consumer problems very well and implement innovative solutions using technology to solve them
• Experience and knowledge of leading a manufacturing team, including the ability to build a culture of discipline safety, quality and reliability
• Track record in successfully building a world class manufacturing operation in a consumer business
• Track record in transforming manufacturing operations through process changes and use of technology
