Head - Tech & Product || Aqualens

Job description


We are looking for a transformational and entrepreneurial leader to run and scale the Product & Tech for our in-house Luxury Premium Brand - Aqualens. This is a critical role for the growth of the company given the exponential expansion plans at hand. Our organization is known for its customer obsession and technology-first orientation, through which we improve and scale every aspect of our business.

This role infuses a unique blend of product, tech, analytics and P&L ownership. The incumbent shall be responsible for driving Aqualens to a self-sustainable platform, delivering highest standards of user experience. Excellent skills in leadership, influence and strategic planning are key pillars for this role.


•Identify market requirements, create preliminary design concepts and drive the implementation of the overall product and tech roadmap
• Responsible for analyzing customer needs, competitive offerings and providing direction on best practices and emerging trends in relation to e-commerce capabilities
• Responsible for innovative feature conceptualization, designing wireframes, documenting PRDs to enhance site usability & profitability
• Responsible for developing customer wireframes and user cases and ensuring optimal level of customer service
•Responsible for analyzing all customer requirements, monitoring requests and managing all defects in products for all monthly releases
•Responsible for gathering and analyzing User Research data to build Product Requirements
•Responsible for developing new UI designs using web technologies.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to lead and further build a dynamic team. S/he will do this by experimenting with ideas with a sense of urgency, irrespective of the outcome, serving as an inspiration to the Aqualens team; Be a motivational leader, taking charge and leading the function; Be accountable for achieving the agreed upon targets & most importantly, be willing to get their hands dirty and influence the team to “do it yourself‟.


S/He should deep dive into understanding customer behavior in an ever changing market place; Should be obsessed with enhancing the consumer experience; Understanding consumers well and using insights to develop the tech and product strategy, while also incorporating customer feedback and using that to improve overall customer experience. S/He should be extremely tech savvy to be able to contribute ideas for leveraging technology to enhance customer acquisition as well as retention.


The role requires the incumbent to work closely and coordinate with the internal and external teams to create success. S/he should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a high growth, young, agile business environment. S/he should be able to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders to drive decision making.


The role is critical in building a strong brand by way of disruptive ideas and implementation. Creating, implementing and adapting best in class practices that are tailor made to drive Lenskart’s core value of Customer Obsession. S/He should be willing to experiment & demonstrate “out of box” solutions.
