Assistant Manager – Legal (Compliances)

Job description

This role would be looking into compliances, regulatory framework, laws and policies for Lenskart India and it's overseas subsidiaries and businesses.

• To support with critical approvals and licenses for the business by identifying, analyzing and escalating risks involved in business decisions & evaluating repercussions and benefits.

• To ensure requisite and timely legal and statutory compliance.

• To pre-empt legal risks and proactively find ways to mitigate and reduce risk exposure.

• To ensure a strong compliance and governance framework for statutory norms, internal company policies and monitoring of non-compliances by adequate training of the teams and organization through awareness sessions, & reviews.

• To guide the teams in maintaining high standards of corporate governance transparency and compliance with various applicable laws.

• To advise business teams across departments on day to day basis on effective communication to stakeholders including regulatory authorities, individual associates, suppliers and vendors thereby fostering strong stakeholders relations.

• To drive regular compliance audits and checks, and manage/monitor compliance portals and reports.

• To preferably have a background of secretarial, FEMA, IT, Labour and other regulatory compliances.

Job requirements

• LLB + CS with 5-7 years of experience from a top rated law firm/MNC

• Understanding of commercial and business setup

• Cross functional aptitude, eye for detail, swift to respond

• Overall understanding of applicable laws in the industry
